Peter Millar is launching a premium collection of collegiate sportswear, which is licensed by The Collegiate Licensing company, beginning this fall with The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Featuring mercerized knit shirts, satin washed polos, woven shirts, and cashmere and merino wool sweaters, the Peter Millar Collegiate Collection will set a new standard for luxury sportswear in the collegiate apparel market. The line will be available exclusively through Peter Millar’s existing retailer base.

“Working directly with The University of North Carolina on the initial launch, we were able to discover and fill a void in the premium collegiate apparel market,” says Scott Mahoney, C.E.O of Peter Millar. “The collection will appeal to both current students and alumni seeking better sportswear that is equally appropriate for the game, the office, or a casual night out. Initial feedback from our customers has been extremely positive.”

Peter Millar is planning to expand the Collegiate Collection to more than a dozen other collegiate institutions by next year.
