Dillard’s, Inc. announced that sales for the five weeks ended July 2, 2011 were $531.4 million compared to sales for the five weeks ended July 3, 2010 of $506.4 million. Total sales increased 5 percent. Comparable store sales increased 6 percent for the five weeks ended July 2, 2011.
Sales for the 22 weeks ended July 2, 2011 were $2.43 billion compared to sales for the 22 weeks ended July 3, 2010 of $2.37 billion. Sales increased 3 percent on both a total and comparable store basis for the 22 weeks ended July 2, 2011.
During the five weeks ended July 2, 2011, sales were slightly above the average total Company trend in the Central region, slightly below trend in the Eastern region and below trend in the Western region. Sales in the home and furniture category were significantly below trend during the five-week period ended July 2, 2011.
