Dreams, Inc., which owns Fansedge.com, reported net sales for the fiscal third quarter ended Sept. 30 were up 30.0% to $19.8 million from $15.2 million a year ago.
Management attributed the sales jump to Internet sales of $13.5 million, which was up 40.0% from the year-ago period. The company said growth was driven by its flagship fansedge.com brand. The company reported an EBITDA loss of $468,000 compared to a loss of $429,000 in the year-ago period. Without one-time charges of $485,000 associated with financings, EBITDA would have been positive $17,000. Net loss for the quarter was $702,000, or 7 cents per share, compared to a net loss of $786,000, or 7 cents per share, in the year ago period.
In a press release, the company said the fourth quarter (October-December) is historically its strongest period.
