Sun & Ski Sports, based in Houston, TX, has opened its
third store in the New England market. The 16,000 square foot store in Pembroke, MA, is a former Ski Market
location. It now has 26 stores.

According to a report in The Enterprise in Brockton, MA, Sun
& Ski first moved into the region when the acquisition of the Joe Jones
store in North Conway, NH. In June 2010, it bought a former Ski Market store in
Avon, CN.

Speaking to the newspaper, Barry Goldware, Sun & Ski's CEO, said the
company began exploring the New England region following the demise of Ski
Market, which at one point had 15 stores in the area. Goldware said he is looking for new locations in New England.

Sun & Ski operates 11 stores in Texas; two each Oklahoma
and Virginia; and one each in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts,
New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma and Tennessee. The stores focus on snowboarding, cycling, water sports and running.
