Hat World, Inc. announced its Lids Team Sports division has agreed to administer a five-year agreement between Southeast Missouri State University and Nike. In the deal the university agreed to name Nike the official uniform, apparel and footwear provider for the its 15 sport programs.
“LIDS Team Sports is thrilled to have the opportunity to share its vision of quality, competitive pricing and unmatched customer service with Southeast Missouri State University through this new agreement,” said Director of LIDS Team Sports Paul Brunelle. “We value this relationship and are honored to be partnered with the Redhawks.”
“Nike has a long history of excellence in college athletics affiliation with the Swoosh will enhance the overall image of the Department of Athletics, and most importantly, improve the overall experience for our student-athletes,” said Southeast Missouri State University Director of Athletics John Shafer. “The high-quality performance product provided by Nike will give our teams a competitive advantage. Our student-athletes, coaches and administrators are all extremely excited about this partnership. This agreement will provide mid-six figure savings for the university's Department of Athletics over the next five academic years.
Hat World, Inc. is comprised of three businesses' the LIDS retail headwear stores, the LIDS Locker Room specialty fan retail chain, and the LIDS Team Sports wholesale team sports business. Its owned by Genesco Inc.
