The Antigua Group, Inc. has been named the official apparel licensee for the 2011 U.S. Solheim Cup Team. Antigua will outfit the 12-player U.S. Team in custom-designed Antigua shirts, pants and skirts during all seven days of the 2011 Solheim Cup, to be played Sept. 23-25, 2011 at Killeen Castle, County Meath, Ireland.
“All of us at Antigua are very proud to have been chosen by the LPGA to design and develop the uniforms for the U.S. Solheim Cup Team for the 2011 matches”, said Ron McPherson, president and CEO of the Antigua Group. “This opportunity is a great honor and challenge for our product development team. We have had terrific directional meetings with LPGA staff and of course Captain Rosie Jones and her assistants, Juli Inkster and Sherri Steinhauer. Consequently the design and development process is on target and we can’t wait to see the first samples.”
