Collective Licensing International reached a new three-year agreement with Town Connection of Buenos Aires to license apparel and skateboarding hardgoods for the Vision Street Wear brand in Argentina. Under the design and manufacturing agreement, Town Connection will hold the exclusive license for Vision Street Wear in Argentina and will initiate and drive the growth of the brand in this important international market for the brand. Town Connection's inaugural collection will debut in Spring of 2011 and this introduction will mark the first time Vision Street Wear has been available in Argentina since the brand's re-launch in 2009.
Founded in 1976, Vision Street Wear is recognized as one of the original and most authentic street wear brands to emerge from the skateboarding fashion explosion of the early 90's. Since its memorable return in 2009, the brand has been on the forefront of music and street culture and has been featured in many popular media outlets such as In-Touch, Maxim, Transworld Skateboarding and Nylon Magazine.
“We are looking forward to collaborating with Town Connection on the continued expansion of the Vision Street Wear brand,” said Bruce Pettet, CEO of Collective Licensing International. “With their knowledge of the skate industry, we could not have a better partner to take us into Argentina.”
Formed in 2004, Town Connection began by producing their own line of skateboards and other accessories for the action sports market. Town Connection's knowledge of the market and their strong base of retail partners in Argentina gives Vision Street Wear a strong entry position with core shops and retailers.
“We are more than excited to be a part of the Vision Street Wear team,” said Ronnie Mazzei, CEO of Town Connection. “The brand fits our company profile perfectly and we plan to start with a range of skateboards and a small collection of softgoods.”
