Seaguar has appointed Christopher Rosella as assistant sales manager and John Whelan as assistant marketing manager.
Rosella joins the company, which manufactures fluorocarbon and fishing lines, after serving stints with Megabass of America and FishUSA. He reportedly brings both sales and marketing expertise to this key role for Seaguar. Rosella’s experience includes sales execution programs through independent rep agencies, customer promotion initiatives with key accounts and business development programs with local independent retailers.
The company stated in a media release that Rosella’s “marketing background encompasses a range of national and grassroots activities that have helped build consumer demand and bolster customer sales.”
“[Rosella] will serve a key role on the Seaguar sales team, working closely with Seaguar management and sales reps to proactively build dealer and distributor sales,” noted the company in a media release.
Whelan, who most recently served as a sales associate for the company, has been promoted to assistant marketing manager.
Whelan began working with Seaguar over five years ago in its Customer Service Department. In his role as a sales associate, Whelan has worked closely with sales reps and customers to manage, facilitate and support Seaguar sales. Additionally, he has worked in product development and key marketing initiatives.
“In his new role, John will help guide all marketing initiatives an new product development and be responsible for the Seaguar pro-staff team,” the company noted.
In making the announcement, Seaguar General Manager Gerry Benedicto said these appointments help position the company for future growth. “Both Chris and John bring new perspectives and add an exciting level of enthusiasm to the Seaguar business. We have a strong brand and enviable position in the industry and look forward to the contributions both John and Chris will make to our retailers, distributors and consumers.”
