Bodybar Pilates is reporting a successful first quarter, signing over 20 new franchise agreements, opening eight new studios and generating nearly $10 million in systemwide revenue in Q1. However, the fitness & wellness franchising player is not resting on its laurels. The company reported it is ramping up for additional growth.

Bodybar has partnered with Prestige Franchise Partners (PFP)  to further fuel nationwide expansion, strengthen its development team and accelerate strategic growth.

Focused on high-demand markets for group fitness, Bodybar Pilates expanded its national footprint with eight new studios in the first quarter, bringing the total number of open locations to 54. New studio openings include:

  • Cypress, TX
  • Heritage Harbour, FL (Bradenton)
  • Knox Square, AL (Hoover)
  • Oak Park, IL (Chicago)
  • La Jolla, CA (San Diego)
  • Shadow Creek, TX (South Houston)
  • Southlake, TX
  • Tuscaloosa, AL

The company signed additional franchise agreements in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Texas.

“The momentum we’ve seen in the first quarter is a direct result of the passion and commitment of our franchisees and the growing demand for purposeful, community-driven fitness,” said Matt McCollum, CEO, Bodybar Pilates, in a media release. “We’re not just expanding our footprint, we’re deepening our impact in every community we enter. As we look ahead to the rest of 2025, we’re excited to continue building on this foundation of growth, innovation, and exceptional member experience.”

Bodybar’s partnership with Prestige Franchise Partners (PFP) marks “a pivotal milestone” for the brand. With PFP’s expertise in franchise development, the company “aims to grow from over 140 locations in development to over 500, domestically and internationally. Within the next 24 months, Bodybar also reported that it “expects to add over 200 new domestic locations while making its initial entry into global markets.”

“With Bodybar, we identified a significant opportunity in the premium fitness space,” said Mike Baguley, VP of franchise development, Prestige Franchise Partners. “This concept has demonstrated exceptional unit economics, driving more than $180,000 to the bottom line, with average unit sales volume greater than $750,000 per year. They are outperforming competitors, making it an attractive investment for prospective franchisees.”

The boutique fitness brand also said it saw strong growth in member acquisition, with “over 5,000 new members joining the Bodybar community in the first three months of 2025, bringing total systemwide membership to nearly 16,000, up 86 percent year-over-year.”
