Fleet Feet Chicago has opened its newest retail store in Algonquin, IL. This marks the ninth store in the Fleet Feet Chicago network of stores, which are owned and operated by Dave and Lisa Zimmer.
Fleet Feet Chicago opened its first Fleet Feet Chicagoland store in 1996.
“Fleet Feet Chicago continues its mission to put people first by supporting local runners and walkers while promoting a healthier, active lifestyle,” the company said in a media release.
“Algonquin is an ideal location for us to expand our footprint, and we are thrilled to serve a community that has long been without a dedicated run specialty store,” said Dave Zimmer, owner, Fleet Feet Chicago. “This new location will not only offer the best in performance footwear and gear, but also become a hub for fitness enthusiasts, runners, and families in the area.”
In addition to its retail offerings, Fleet Feet Chicago said it is eager to forge connections with the local high school athletic programs and other small businesses in the area.
“We’re not just opening a store; we’re opening a space for the community to come together,” added Zimmer. “We look forward to building relationships with other local businesses, contributing to the community’s vitality, and supporting the next generation of runners and athletes.”
The new store opened on May 7, 2025.
