The American Sportfishing Association (ASA) announced that Kendra Allman has joined the company as VP of Member Services and Business Development and its Executive Team.

Reporting to ASA President and CEO Glenn Hughes, Allman is also responsible for overseeing the Association’s ICAST sportfishing trade show and leading its membership and business development priorities according to its strategic plan. These include: ensuring ICAST provides members with return on their investment while allowing them to showcase their products to qualified retail/wholesale buyers, manufacturer’s reps, media, and other industry-related organizations at the show, and  lead ASA’s membership and business development programs to provide valuable benefits and to help the ASA build the sportfishing community.

“Kendra comes to us with a wealth of knowledge as a seasoned Association executive and creative thinker,” said Hughes. “She is the perfect complement to our expanding organization and will be a key factor in the fulfillment of our growing membership and new business development strategies.”

Allman has over 25 years of experience in association management including meetings, events and high-end production. She has held leadership positions at the National Grocers Association, National Association of Chain Drug Stores, National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association, and National Waste & Recycling Association.

“I’m looking forward to working with ASA’s members and the recreational fishing community, where I can combine my professional expertise with a lifelong love of fishing, said Allman. “I am really excited to be part of several new strategic initiatives to increase member engagement, help expand the sportfishing community and increase the Association’s business development initiatives.”
