RIBZ USA, a San Diego-based developer of outdoor and active lifestyle accessories, will launch distribution of its patented RIBZ front pack to include a broad range of retailers, including mainstream and specialty sporting goods retailers, beginning July 1.
“We wanted to make sure that the product had the perfect balance of sturdiness, functionality and light-weight portability, as well as having all the additional features that the end consumer would want before we took the product into retail stores,” said Ray Richardson, President of RIBZ USA. “We feel that the RIBZ front pack is now a perfect fit for whatever activity someone might be engaged in, whether that is backpacking, hunting, fishing, photography, camping, hiking, boating, adventure travel, or anything else.”
Richardson also highlighted the importance of solidifying its relationship with its growing community of users: “With this being such a new and unique product, we have more people every day contacting us and telling us about a different activity they used the RIBZ for. A big step we needed to take before going into retail stores was to really plug into the collective minds of the different communities for each activity people were using the RIBZ. We do not want our expanding retail presence to get in the way of our relationship with our users.”
RIBZ has also focused on its supply chain and customer service functions to ensure smooth transition from being an online-only operation to a company with a strong retail store presence.
As a consequence of these expansion plans, Richardson said RIBZ is actively seeking independent sales representation as well as dealer inquiries both in the US and select countries throughout the world.
