Pickleball Kingdom is opening a new facility this summer in Pinellas Park, FL, on US Hwy 19N. The 40,125-square-foot member club, with 14 professional-grade indoor courts, is led by franchisees Steve Poborka and Kerrie Forrester.
In addition to the indoor courts, the club will offer Pickleball Kingdom’s a wide range of amenities to members, including professional coaching and clinics, youth programs, leagues and tournaments, community and corporate events.
“We are very excited to bring Pickleball Kingdom to the Pinellas Park community,” said Steve Poborka. “As avid pickleball players, we understand the need for a high-quality facility that welcomes everyone —from beginners picking up a paddle for the first time to seasoned pros looking for top-tier competition. Our goal is to create the best pickleball experience in the area, where every visitor feels like part of our family.”
“We worked hard to find the perfect location, and we couldn’t be happier to be opening at the Shoppes at Park Place,” added Kerrie Forrester. “This club will be more than just a place to play — it will be a hub for connection, competition and community. We can’t wait to welcome players of all skill levels to experience the excitement of Pickleball Kingdom.”
Poborka has spent 30 years managing multi-million-dollar operations for Fortune 500 companies, while Forrester owns Pure Bloom, a newborn photography business in Tampa, FL. The couple discovered pickleball in November 2023 and quickly fell in love with the sport, inspiring them to bring their passion to the Pinellas Park community through Pickleball Kingdom.
“Florida has long been a hotspot for pickleball and the demand for high-quality indoor courts has never been greater,” said Ace Rodrigues, founder and CEO. “This new club will be a game-changer, giving players a world-class venue to enjoy the sport, rain or shine. And Steve and Kerrie are world-class people.”
