KMD Brands, the parent company of Kathmandu, Rip Curl, and Oboz brands, is reporting that Brent Scrimshaw will transition from a non-executive role on the company’s Board to assume the role of group chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director on March 24, based at the KMD Brands corporate office in Melbourne, Australia.
Outgoing Group CEO Michael Daly will step down as director of KMD Brands on March 25 and complete a transition period with Srimshaw until April 4. He will also participate in the Group’s first-half results announcement on March 26.
As CEO and executive director of Enero Group Limited, Scrimshaw oversees a worldwide portfolio of creative, ad tech, martech, digital, data, and communications businesses with over 980 employees in 16 cities globally.
Scrimshaw has extensive experience leading and growing consumer brands worldwide, including an 18-year career with Nike, Inc. in three continents, most recently as vice president and chief executive of Nike Europe.
Scrimshaw was previously a director of action sports apparel brand Fox Head, Inc. in California, a non-executive director of sports technology company Catapult International (CAT) and a non-executive director with ASX-listed medical technology company Rhinomed Limited (RNO).
