Timberland, the U.S. manufacturer and retailer of outdoor footwear and apparel owned by VF Corporation, announced on February 3 that the company has appointed Drew Villani as the new global creative director of Marketing.
Villani is responsible for bringing Timberland’s creative vision to life, including brand marketing, art direction, photography, store design, styling, and video production.
Villani joins Timberland from Calvin Klein, where he was the senior director of global creative. Before that, he worked as a contract creative director, after working at 3.1 Phillip Lim as artistic director.
VF Corporation is the parent company of the Altra, Vans, The North Face, Jansport, Eastpak, Timberland, Dickies, Smartwool, and Icebreaker brands.
CEO Bracken Darrell opened the company’s fiscal third quarter conference call with analysts last month, telling the call participants, “Our Americas business improved again relative to last quarter with revenue up 2 percent in Q3 versus down 9 percent in Q2; that’s the first quarter of growth in over two years,” he noted. “It’s early days. So, we may not see growth every quarter as turnarounds often aren’t linear, but it’s good to see green numbers again. And we have a lot, and I do mean a lot, of improvement ahead of our Americas business.”
