SportPet Designs has acquired the Mammoth Pet Products assets of C.B. Worldwide, Inc. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
SportPet is a portfolio company of Topspin Consumer Partners.
Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Waukesha, WI, SportPet said it “first disrupted cat and dog containment solutions through unique kennels and crates under its flagship brand, SportPet.” Since then, the company has expanded its product line to include pet furniture, toys, bedding, apparel, and feeding accessories by launching new brands (Kitty City, Chew King, Harry Barker) and acquiring Mission Pets.
SportPet reported that Charles Byrne founded Mammoth Pet Products in 1995 and designs, manufactures and distributes interactive branded pet toys.”
Mammoth’s flagship products are the Flossy Chew line of rope tug and Tire Biter toys.
The company distributes its toy range and chew products through big-box retailers, including Walmart, Tractor Supply, and independent pet stores.
