Instinct has appointed Todd Stanley as VP of sales.

The surf brand founded in 1979 by world surfing champion Shaun Tomson  is said to be best known for manufacturing apparel that blends an authentic surf style with performance properties. With Stanley’s hire, Instinct said in a media release that it “is set to expand its market reach and elevate its North American sales strategy.”

With deep roots in the surfing industry, Stanley brings a wealth of expertise in sales, team leadership and brand development. His background in corporate and entrepreneurial ventures “qualifies him to guide the brand through its next growth phase,” said Instinct.

“Instinct is more than just a brand; it’s a legacy of surf culture and innovation,” added Stanley. “I’m honored to join a team that values authenticity and quality distribution while pushing the boundaries of modern surf apparel. Shaun Tomson is renowned in the surfing industry for revolutionizing tube riding with his innovative, maneuver-oriented approach. He named the company after the pinnacle of the surfing experience—when one operates purely on instinct.
