Smith, the maker of snow goggles and helmets for bike, sport, lifestyle, and prescription eyewear, has expanded its snow marketing and product teams, with the hire of Grady Skelton as global snow marketing manager working collaboratively with Kevin Wonnacott in his new role as the snow category manager.
Born and raised in the PNW, Skelton, shown right, is an avid snowboarder with over 15 years of experience in brand marketing strategy, CPG marketing and creative content development. He spent over six years at Rome Snowboards as a campaign strategist and content producer managing national and international marketing. Recently, Skelton was the senior creative brand manager for 10 Barrel Brewing Co. (Anheuser-Busch), focused on brand marketing.
Wonnacott, shown left, joins Smith with an extensive background in the snow industry, having roles in sales, marketing and product and merchandising at companies including Salomon, Berghaus, and Montaine. Previously, Wonnacott was the senior global product line manager for men’s outerwear at Columbia Sportswear for six years. He brings his vast experience of technical products across the snow sports category to his new role at Smith, overseeing the helmet product line manager’s role while working under the Product and Merchandising team. Growing up in Oregon, Wonnacott is a lifelong skier.
