Germany-based Roadsurfer’s Co-founder and CEO, Markus Dickhardt, announced that the rental and adventure travel company, will expand its North American operation in spring 2025 with new locations in Denver, Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Phoenix.
Roadsurfer’s first U.S. location launched in Los Angeles in 2022. The company operates RV rental agencies in five cities across the Western U.S. and Canada, with approximately 250 rental vehicles. With the opening of the new stations, the company plans to grow that number to 800 RV/camper vans.
Roadsurfer’s rental stations are situated near major airports for European and North American travelers.
Roadsurfer offers four rental models, accommodating 2 to 5 people: the Liberty Lodge and Couple Condo class B van models, the Family Freedom alcove vehicle, and the all-wheel Horizon Hopper. All vehicles come fully equipped and road trip-ready with kitchenettes, hot showers, toilets, AC/heat, camping equipment, and kitchen utensils.
The lifestyle-oriented brand distinguishes itself with unlimited mileage, one-way rentals, a free second driver, and competitive pricing. Dogs are welcome.
Founded in 2016, the Roadsurfer brand is well-established in Europe and dominates the RV rental market. With 14 new rental stations planned worldwide for 2025, the company will operate 90 locations across Europe, the U.S. and Canada, expanding its fleet to around 10,000 vehicles.
Roadsurfer forecasts “gross revenue of €210 million for the upcoming year, reflecting a 30 percent growth.”
Dieckhardt stated, “2024 was a very successful year for Roadsurfer. We see immense growth potential in North America as we expand our one-way rental business and offer spacious, semi-integrated RVs for comfortable long-distance travel. The trend towards flexible outdoor travel continues to grow, capturing a larger share of the global travel market.”
