TSG Consumer Partners (TSG), a private equity firm with investments in the active lifestyle space, announced the expansion of its portfolio operations group, TSG Vantage, and the appointment of Brian Crandall as managing director.
The company noted that Crandall’s hire “continues TSG Vantage’s strategic growth and furthers its value-add capabilities.”
TSG Vantage supports TSG Consumer Partner companies with strategic and operational services, focusing on commercial, operations, talent, and digital strategies, with a Consumers Insights team that enhances its focus areas.
Led by Dori Konig, TSG Vantage’s team includes employees who worked for blue-chip companies, including Walmart, Sephora, and Uber, who have and helped “drive sustainable growth and margin enhancement across TSG’s portfolio.”
As Managing Director, Crandall brings over 20 years of strategy, business development and operations experience to the role. Most recently, he was chief client officer for Accenture’s Global Private Equity Group, where he founded and built the company’s centralized private equity practice, launched the first Generative AI and managed service programs for private equity clients. In his new role, Crandall will oversee commercial and digital value creation for TSG Vantage.
“Brian’s ability to drive innovation and harness new and emerging technologies will strengthen our team and offerings amid a rapidly evolving digital landscape,” said Konig. “In addition to his digital experience, Brian brings a deep understanding of commercial and operations, with a proven track record of data-driven success and innovative solutions.”
“The world of operations and digitization in private equity is advancing quickly, and Vantage is at the forefront,” said Crandall. “I am inspired by the team’s ability to drive value in this space and look forward to propelling consumer-driven solutions and results for TSG partner companies.”
Before joining Accenture in 2022, Crandall’s career focused on post-acquisition value creation, late-stage diligence and transition, and AI business operations, working for Platinum Equity and McKinsey & Company. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in business from Cornell University.
TSG’s past and present investments in the active lifestyle space include Corepower Yoga, Nuun, Backcountry, Revolve, and Planet Fitness.
