Footasylum appointed former Under Armour executive Will Van Rensburg as chief commercial officer and ex-Reebok product director Glen Wilkinson as senior buying director.

Rensburg, who joined the company in September from Clarks, brings nearly eight years of experience from Under Armour, where he was global commercial director from 2020 to 2023. As chief commercial officer, he oversees Footasylum’s commercial operations and is pivotal in executing its growth and development strategy.

Wilkinson will begin as senior buying director later this month, working with chief product officer Leon Mullin. Previously, he held senior roles at Ecco, Reebok and New Balance, and, most recently, was head of buying and merchandising at Italian sporting retailer AW Lab. At Ecco, he was

the buying, marketing and product merchandising director for the EMEA region. His last role at Reebok was as a senior director of global GTM merchandising.

Footasylum said Wilkinson’s extensive international expertise and track record in the U.S., UK, Netherlands, and Italy will help advance the company’s buying strategy.

CEO David Pujolar said: “I am delighted to welcome Will and Glen to the business. Their extensive experience across a range of companies and geographies will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our position in the market. Together, they will help drive our growth strategy and enhance our product offerings, ensuring that Footasylum remains at the forefront of the fashion streetwear and sportswear industry.”

Last week, Footasylum secured a £35 million ($46 mm) revolving credit line from HSBC to support expansion and sustainability initiatives.
