EssilorLuxottica closed the previously announced transaction to acquire the Supreme brand from VF Corp for an aggregate base purchase price of $1.5 billion in cash.
The transaction has been cleared by all relevant competition authorities.
EssilorLuxottica is best known as a manufacturer and distributor of lenses, frames and sunglasses. It makes eyewear under Ray-Ban and Oakley as well as a number of designer names through licenses. Its retail businesses include LensCrafters and Sunglass Hut.
