SylvanSport reported that it recently celebrated the groundbreaking of its Sylvan Valley Industrial Center (SVIC) expansion project. The global headquarters of SylvanSport in Brevard, NC, will reportedly grow by 40,000 square feet, led by the Transylvania (County) Economic Alliance (TEA).
SylvanSport said its commitment to supporting North Carolina’s outdoor economy aligns with the thriving outdoor tourism industry near its headquarters, which is at the entrance to Pisgah National Forest.
Spearheaded by Founder and CEO Tom Dempsey, the manufacturer of travel trailers, pop-up campers, rooftop tents, and outdoor gear said in a media release that it is “leading the development of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that is set to be completed by Summer 2025.”
“SylvanSport is the perfect complement to the outdoor mecca we call home, one of the best mountain towns in the USA,” said Dempsey. The SVIC is an embodiment of the thought leadership and vision to live where we play and drive diverse economic growth and further connection to the outdoors. The SVIC expansion delivers on that vision.”
