Macy’s appointed Jason Holzman as senior vice president of Creative and Production, overseeing the teams responsible for design and copy, photo studio and marketing operations.

Holzman will drive new, effective, breakthrough campaigns and ensure more integrated ways of telling Macy’s story across all channels. His role will advance how the retailer engages with customers and the public. Holzman reports to Macy’s Chief Marketing Officer, Sharon Otterman.

“Jason brings a wealth of creative experience from consumer advertising, as well as the media and entertainment industries, and has a proven track record of innovative storytelling,” said Otterman. “Macy’s has a rich history of celebrating moments big and small, and we’ve added a strong storyteller to continue to tell our story. I’m excited for us to continue adding talented creative professionals to our world-class marketing organization.”

Holzman brings a wealth of experience to his new role at Macy’s. Most recently, he was at NBC Universal as senior vice president and head of creative for Peacock. He also led teams at NBCU responsible for the creative marketing of linear networks including USA and SYFY, as well as UCP, one of the company’s content production studios. Holzman has also served as an adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), where he taught advertising.

Before his nearly seventeen-year tenure at NBCUniversal, Holzman served as creative director at Euro RSCG. He also held creative roles at BBDO and Ammirati & Puris and, recently, co-authored a graphic novel to be published by the publishing house, Humanoids.
