Far Bank Enterprises, the parent company of Sage, Redington, Rio Products, and Fly Water Travel, has hired Tom Larimer as director of North American Wholesale Sales.
Larimer brings to Far Bank vast experience gained from a 30-year career in the fly fishing industry. His recent roles leading national sales teams and brand management operations include decades of guiding and retail experience and a background in product design and casting instruction.
In his role at Far Bank, Larimer will lead national account sales and relationships and manage the company’s veteran team of sales reps serving specialty dealers across the continent.
“We are thrilled to be adding someone of Tom’s caliber to our sales leadership team at Far Bank,” said Mike Moore, CRO at Far Bank. “Tom’s depth of experience has given him a perspective few can match. Tom has earned the respect of both accounts and sales reps he has worked with over the years. Beyond being a great fit from a background and skills perspective, Tom is a terrific person to both work and spend time with on the water. He’ll be a positive addition to our culture here at Far Bank and will further strengthen our connection with the fly fishing community.”
Larimer comes to Far Bank from St. Croix Rod where he was the Fly Fishing brand manager. Before that, he spent seven years as the National Sales Manager at G. Loomis Fishing. His experience in the manufacturing side of the industry included roles in product design at Rajeff Sports and ambassadorships and advisory roles at fly fishing brands, including Winston, Simms, Solitude, and Airflo.
Larimer has also spent time on the other side of the industry, with a dozen years in fly fishing retail and retail management and 18 years as a professional guide.
For a decade and prior to his position at Loomis, he was owner-operator of Larimer Outfitters in Hood River, OR offering guided trips for steelhead and trout on the Lower Deschutes River. Larimer’s guiding career began in his 20s in Wisconsin, and in addition to Oregon, he has professionally guided in Washington, Alaska and Michigan.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join the Far Bank team,” added Larimer. “During my time in the fly fishing industry, I’ve always admired the Far Bank house of brands and the role Far Bank has played in both the heritage of fly fishing and the sustainable growth of our sport’s future. I feel fortunate for the opportunity to be part of this incredible team and the iconic brands in the Far Bank portfolio.”
Far Bank Enterprises, a wholly owned subsidiary of Joshua Green Corporation, aims to inspire fly anglers through its products and experiences.
