Ross Stores, Inc. made merchandising leadership changes that will go into effect on December 1 to strengthen the off-price retailer’s effectiveness in driving profitable market share gains over the near and long term.
- Karen Fleming was promoted to president and chief merchandising officer of Ross Dress for Less, continuing to report to CEO Barbara Rentler. Fleming is the president and chief merchandising officer of DD’s Discounts. In her new role, she will oversee the merchandising responsibilities at Ross Dress for Less.
- Karen Sykes will transition to president and chief merchandising officer of DD’s Discounts, continuing to report to CEO Rentler. Sykes will replace Fleming upon her promotion. Sykes is the executive vice president of merchandising overseeing men’s women’s and kid’s at Ross Dress for Less. In her new role, Sykes will direct all merchandising at dd Discount.
