Outside Interactive, Inc. has acquired the MapMyFitness fitness tracking app business from Under Armour, Inc. The technology includes the applications MapMyRide, MapMyRun and MapMyWalk, among others.
Outside Interactive sees the app as enhancing its tech platform and mapping capabilities when integrating connected fitness technology to complement its existing outdoor content, services and utilities network.

The acquisition officially closed on August 30, 2024. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
