Boater’s World Marine Centers, LLC (BWMC) is reporting that Stewart Thompson, the company president, will be stepping down to spend more time with his family. The company said he would continue to be active in the boating industry.
“I appreciate the opportunity that Boater’s World has given me, and I am proud of the organization that we have built over the past six years,” Stewart shared.
Before Boater’s World, Thompson was CEO of Tournament Pleasure Boats Pty, Ltd. for five years in Queensland, Australia, and previously CEO for nine years at Queensland Powerboat Centre Pty, Ltd.
The company said that BWMC has grown under Thompson’s leadership, and he has guided the company’s platform through its “greatest era of sales growth.”
“Stewart’s hard work and dedication over the past six years have helped BWMC grow to the level it is today. The Outdoor Network family thanks Stewart for his passion and dedication and wishes him well in his next endeavor,” said Chairman Tom D’Azevedo.
Martin Polo, the company’s CEO, will reportedly step in as interim president and oversee the day-to-day operations.
“Stewart has done a great job of launching the business for the future, and we wish him well,” said Polo.
