Yamaha U.S. Marine Business Unit hired John Clark as the General Manager of Skeeter Boats, responsible for the company’s overall direction, including business operations, developing and delivering on products and promoting company values.
“Skeeter remains dedicated to investing in resources that allow us to be an innovative leader in the boating industry,” said Ben Speciale, president of Yamaha U.S. Marine Business Unit. “As General Manager, John’s steadfast leadership, experience and strong financial management principles will allow us to continue to invest in the people, facilities and equipment that will make our brands stronger.”
Clark joined Skeeter in 2006 in the accounting department, improving his budgeting and forecasting abilities to assist in management planning.
Clark also worked in other roles at the company, including quality assurance manager, director of quality assurance and customer relations where he expanded Skeeter’s customer service through new software solutions, warranty management systems and the launch of Integrity Services.
Before becoming General Manager, Clark was the assistant GM, and his responsibilities included managing daily operations, staff, facilities, and Skeeter’s long-term vision.
Clark reports directly to Ben Speciale, President of Yamaha U.S. Marine Business Unit.
Skeeter Products, Inc., is a Yamaha boat company and manufacturer of performance fishing boats since 1948. Skeeter is the recipient of 22 consecutive NMMA C.S.I. Customer Satisfaction Index Awards and its boats are certified to meet the U.S. Coast Guard, NMMA and American Boat & Yacht Council standards.
