Thorlo  donated 6,000 pair of their best-selling Experia Brand socks will be made through Soles4Souls to aid Haitian relief efforts. The Haitian people have lost so much and have real everyday needs in every aspect of their lives. Thorlo  is helping the best way it knows how and encourages all footwear companies to join them and contribute their products to aid this recovery effort.

According to James Jesserer, a senior executive with Thorlo, “We are all deeply concerned over the depth of suffering the Haitian people are experiencing, and wish to do what we can in providing them with a small amount of comfort in the midst of their sorrow and devastation. We truly hope to show them that in a small way, the world cares.

Thorlo's owner Jim Throneburg was particularly moved to respond to the disaster. “We can all do something to help mankind whether through a business or personal donation. We're doing what we can, and hope that other hosiery manufacturers will unite to really show the heart of the sock industry,” Throneburg added. Throneburg felt that the Experia Brand was the most appropriate product in its extensive line for the warm Haitian climate because of its lightweight structure and Coolmax (66%) construction.

Soles4Souls is a shoe charity dedicated to helping those in need, collecting gently worn shoes and footwear supplies to donate to those in need worldwide.
