Jeffrey Snyder, most recently vice president of merchandising and planning at Backcountry.com, has been hired as senior vice president and general merchandise manager of Rue La La. Snyder will oversee all aspects of the company's men's division, as well as the company's active lifestyle product categories.
Prior to Backcountry, he was vice president of the outdoor division of the Sports Authority.
Rue La La, a members-only e-commerce site, was launched in 2008 and has attracted more than 1.2 million members. GSI Commerce Inc. acquired Retail Convergence Inc., the parent of RueLaLa.com, in November.
