McDavid, Inc., the sports medicine and protective apparel maker, will introduce their first ski and snowboarding line at the SnowSports Industries America's (SIA) Snow Show in Denver, Colo. next week.
“European skiers and snowboarders really embraced our HexPad® garments when we introduced them there last year,” said Rey Corpuz, Marketing Director for McDavid, Inc. “With that kind of response, we felt it was time to show Americans what they've been missing – specific body protection without restriction.”
HexPad is a series of hexagonal shaped pads permanently bonded to the fabric of compression garments.
“The garments developed specifically for snow sports feature our patented HexPad technology in regions of the body that get the most beating, like the tailbone, hips, thighs, knees and spine,” said Corpuz. “Athletes are more comfortable taking risks when they're protected – which we hope makes for an exciting X Games.”
Snow Show attendees will get a first peek during the fashion show on January 27. Models will walk the runway in HexPad® Freeride Shirts and Pants, along with McDavid Knit Beanies.
