Golfzon Social, a leisure and hospitality concept, opened its newest location in Brooklyn, NY. The venture is a collaboration between Golfzon and Troon, two golf and club-related leisure industry providers.
The 18,000-square-foot space with 16 simulators at the base of 11 Hoyt Street brings an opportunity for customers to play 240 simulated courses mapped by Golfzon from around the world, including Bay Hill, St. Andrews, Pebble Beach, Kiawah Island, Harbour Town, PGA National and more.
Golfzon Social combines the expertise of Golfzon and Troon. The simulators, powered by Golfzon’s software and hardware, offer a golfing experience, while Troon’s food, beverage and hospitality services ensure customers have a memorable experience.
“With Golfzon Social, we set out to create a venue for fun, entertaining experiences any time of day that exceed expectations—and the Brooklyn location takes even that to the next level,” said the CEO of Golfzon America, Sean Pyun. “Whether it’s experienced golfers, sports fans, clubs, working professionals, organizers of charity tournaments or weekly leagues, or simply groups of friends looking for something fun to do in town, we’re excited to be able to bring Golfzon Social’s unique style, groundbreaking technology and amazing food and drinks to the neighborhood here in Brooklyn.”
As part of Golfzon Social’s expansion to New York City, the 11 Hoyt location is partnering with the NYC Department of Youth & Community Development to include a golf clinic pilot for students and their families in the Ingersoll House Community Center. The Cornerstone program will teach golf to participants across various experiences and position Golfzon Social “as an accessible, relaxed space for New Yorkers of all ages.”
Golfzon’s proprietary Two-Vision simulators feature high-speed camera sensors that capture club head and ball flight data for realistic performance feedback, a 24-way directional moving swing plate that recreates accurate stand and lie conditions, a touchscreen monitor kiosk, and a virtual caddie to give players advice. The system also boasts realistic graphics and an LED putting guide to read greens.
