Martin Badour, previously EVP of retail at Snipes U.S., takes over his new role as president for Snipes USA, effective immediately. He succeeds Jim Bojko, who left the company.
“I am honored to take over as president for Snipes in the United States and carry on the momentum that Sven Voth and Jim Bojko have established globally. I look forward to continuing our rapid growth in the U.S. strengthened by the support of our passionate team and The Deichmann Group,” said Badour.
“In the past eight years, Marty supported the company’s growth from 28 to 100 locations in a total of 7 states,” the retailer posted on LinkedIn. “Marty also played a key role in the rebranding and integrating Kicks USA to Snipes USA in early 2019. As a member of the Executive team, he will continue to lead the field, operations, talent development, loss prevention, and visual merchandising teams. We’re happy to have you in our Snipes Family and are excited about what comes next!”
Dennis Schröder, CEO of Snipes, stated, “Martin is the right person to move forward with the positioning of Snipes in the United States. He has been with us for many years and is familiar with our workforce, the target group and our vision. I am very pleased that he is taking on this role, and I am convinced he will excel.”
In January, the retailer announced that Sven Voth, founder and CEO of Snipes until the end of 2023, would be leaving the company; this is now happening, but earlier than initially planned. Voth will depart the company on May 31 and become part of the retailer’s Advisory Board in June. Voth will also reportedly continue to work closely with Snipes in the future.
