Fanatics Collectibles hired Dan Thomas as Regional President for the EMEA and LATAM regions, effective this month, responsible for developing and leading the brand across all markets.
Before Fanatics Collectibles, Thomas was the senior vice president of the EMEA for JUUL Labs, where he reportedly “steered the strategic direction for the start-up’s EMEA markets.” Before that, he was the managing director for Quentin Restaurants, a part of Soho House, and held a similar role at the betting and gaming business, Paddy Power.
Thomas has an MA degree in politics, philosophy and economics from Oxford University, is based in London and will report directly to David Leiner, the president for Trading Cards at Fanatics Collectibles.
Fanatics Collectibles is a licensee, producer, designer, and seller of physical and digital trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other digital assets for entertainment and sports properties globally. It is also a manufacturer of physical and digital trading cards. It has exclusive licensing agreements with the MLB, NFL and the NBA, and related players associations to produce physical and digital trading cards and other collectibles.
Fanatics Collectibles also has partnerships with international sports teams and leagues and the owners of other entertainment properties granting similar exclusive rights.
Fanatics Collectibles launched Fanatics Live in 2023, focusing on “transforming” the digital shopping experience through “personality-driven content and entertainment.”
