Robert Langlois was named to the new position of executive vice-president of JUPA Sports, a division of Montreal-based Boyz Group Inc.
Hired by Jupa Sports last October to fill the position of vice-president, sales, Langlois will now wear two hats. His new mandate, which raises him to the Jupa Sports division’s senior management level, consists of supervising all operations, development and market growth activities for Jupa, D2, Badbones and Blue Icon products.
“Robert Langlois’ nomination to this new upper management post is one giant strategic leap for our company, which specializes in winter sports clothing manufacturing and intends to develop the summer sports clothing market shortly,” said Nérée Arsenault, president and CEO of BOYZ Group Inc. He also noted that Mr. Langlois has a solid track record in the ski industry, including over 20 years with Salomon Canada and more than seven at Head USA as Vice-President of the Winter Sports division.
In order to attain Jupa Sports’ short-term expansion objectives, Robert Langlois will work closely with Greg Lax, Vice-President, Operations and Marie Guérette, Vice-President, Product Development.
Jupa Sports was born in the Laurentian Mountains north of Montreal in 1949. Today, Jupa Sports is a division of Boyz Group Inc., founded by Nérée Arsenault and Jacques Carrier.
