Oregon snowboarding and skateboarding retailer Tactics is adding a new store in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA, scheduled to open in early summer 2024. The company said the site is its first in Washington and its fourth retail store overall.
“Our journey began with a small brick-and-mortar store in Eugene, OR, serving the local skateboarding and snowboarding community,” the company notes on its website. “As our reputation for quality products and exceptional customer service grew, so did our reach.”
The retailer operates stores in Eugene and Bend, OR.
Ballard’s neighborhood, known locally for its vibrant community of shops, hotels, venues, and bars, will house the store in a 5,000-square-foot prime retail space.
“We’re thrilled to establish a retail shop in the neighborhood of Ballard,” said Adam Gerken, retail director for Tactics. “Our existing retail locations in Eugene, Bend and Portland have become important parts of their respective communities, and we look forward to bringing our passion for snowboarding and skateboarding to the Emerald City. In the spirit of “Standing Sideways, Moving Forward,” we will work to support and nurture board sports throughout the Puget Sound region. We are confident that we can help foster these sports that we love!”
