Brooks Sports, Inc. announced that two of its newest footwear styles have been honored by Runner’s World magazine. In the December 2009 issue, on newsstands as of November 3, Brooks’ Adrenaline GTS 10 is crowned “Best Update” and the all-new competition trainer, the Launch, wins the title of “Best Debut” in the Winter 2009 Shoe Guide.
Brooks’ Adrenaline GTS celebrates its tenth edition, with great comments by editors and wear-testers alike. Going strong since the first iteration in 1995, the Adrenaline GTS has been the go-to-support shoe for millions of runners worldwide. Runner’s World’s review recommends the Adrenaline GTS “for normal-arched runners looking for a stable responsive trainer.” Runner’s World’s wear-testers “loved the smooth ride” and “the snug wrap around the arch.”
“The Adrenaline GTS is a pillar of the Brooks brand, and we are thrilled that it has been recognized and honored by Runner’s World,” said Jim Weber, president and CEO of Brooks. “As a brand, we focus on creating shoes that allow runners to run longer, farther and faster. We’re constantly striving to innovate and improve our products to accomplish that goal and the “Best Update” win for the Adrenaline GTS 10 is a testament to that.”
In celebration of the Adrenaline’s tenth edition, Brooks has reduced the retail price of the Adrenaline GTS 10 to $100. As of November 1, 2009, the shoe is available in one color way each for men and women with an additional two colors launching in January 2010.
The Launch, honored as Runner’s World’s “Best Debut” in its Winter 2009 Shoe Guide, is a lightweight neutral trainer equipped with an extremely flexible outsole and seamless heel-to-toe transition that works for many mid foot and forefoot strikers. Reviewed as “a fantastic new shoe that is lightweight, flexible and supportive with a fast feel,” the Launch “fit a range of foot types.” The magazine’s wear-testers applauded “the way the shoe moved with the foot” and commented on the Launch’s “lightweight” feel.
“The Launch is an exceptional addition to our competition line,” said Andre Kriwet, director of footwear merchandising at Brooks Sports, Inc. “Feedback from consumers and retailers has been extremely positive and we’re excited it performed to our expectations for Runner’s World.”
