Revelyst, the Outdoor Products division of Vista Outdoor, Inc., hired Joyce Butler as chief human relations officer (CHRO). Revelyst also reported that it is in the process of separating into a standalone public company later this year.
The company said Butler has over 25 years of experience in several industries, including health care, technology and play and entertainment. Most recently, she was the CHRO for Avid Technology, Inc., a Burlington, MA-based technology and multimedia company. Before Avid, she reportedly worked in various HR and talent management roles for PTC, Hasbro and Lifespan.
“One of the hallmarks of Revelyst is our intense focus on building a people-first culture emphasizing the power of teams and team building,” said Eric Nyman, CEO of Revelyst. “Joyce is the right leader to help us drive and build that team-first mindset at Revelyst as we redefine what is possible with our incredible brands. Her human resources expertise, coupled with the diverse, multi-industry background she brings to Revelyst, will help us ensure we build the right talent strategy needed to become the world’s No. 1 house of brands and an employer of choice in our industry.”
Butler joins a growing Revelyst management team, including Nyman, CFO Andy Keegan and General Counsel Jung Choi.
“I’m thrilled to join the Revelyst team as we become a standalone company that’s brand-led, consumer-obsessed and maker-fueled,” Butler commented. “This is an incredibly exciting time for our people. I am passionate about helping companies build employee-first cultures, and I will ensure Revelyst invests in our people, brands and innovation to drive sustained, profitable growth and an extraordinary culture.”
Butler has a master of science in training and development from Lesley University, a bachelor of science in hospitality sales and meeting management from Johnson & Wales University and a graduate certificate in executive coaching from William James College.
