Allbirds, Inc. promoted Kelly Olmstead to chief marketing officer and appointed footwear industry veteran Adrian Nyman to the newly created role of chief design officer.
Both appointments were effective in December.

Olmstead brings over 25 years of experience in sporting goods, footwear and apparel to Allbirds, including marketing strategy, digital marketing, brand communications, public relations, and social media. Most recently, she was the SVP of brand and marketing for Allbirds. Before joining the company in 2023, she was the CMO at Hanna Andersson. Previously, she spent two decades with Adidas leading brand, retail and digital marketing for North America. She earned a degree in business economics at Willamette University and completed executive education at Harvard Business School.
Nyman brings over 20 years of experience in footwear and apparel to Allbirds as chief design officer. Most recently, he was chief brand officer for electric vehicle innovator Arrival. Before that, he spent 13 years working at Nike in positions of increasing responsibility for the Nike brand and Hurley, most recently as the VP and creative director of global retail.
