Event Technology, LLC reported it opened an Asia Pacific regional headquarters in Shanghai, China.
The company said the new HQ is “strategically located in the heart of the technical fabric industry’s supply chain hub” and houses its engineering, product and finance departments, sales and marketing team to service the Asian commercial market and the executive team under the leadership of company CEO David Liu.”
Event’s Kansas City office will continue as the business center for operations for the U.S. and European markets under company president Chad Kelly.
“While Event is a uniquely Western brand with deep roots and history throughout the U.S. and Europe, we identified the need to improve response time for customers and operate with more agility in the Asian marketplace,” Liu said. “Establishing an office in Shanghai allows us to progress on both of those strategies with a laser focus.”
A new lab in the Shanghai office is expected to “accelerate research and design of new, sustainable products and ensure improved response times to brand partners with immediate needs.” Products in the lab will reportedly undergo a range of testing to deliver on Event’s promise of the “world’s best waterproofing for partner products.”
