Gatorz Eyewear appointed industry veteran Scott Sorensen as head of marketing, overseeing consumer and product marketing strategies, strengthening the brand’s positioning and executing growth initiatives.
The company said Sorensen brings over two decades of experience in senior executive roles within the premium performance product space. He began his career as a startup member of the Action Sports brand Dragon Alliance in 1993, helping develop the brand and implementing effective marketing strategies. Following Dragon’s acquisition by eyewear brand Oakley, Sorensen joined FGX International/Essilor in 2008, where he led the Quantum Optics division, overseeing Gargoyles, Anarchy, Body Glove, and Rawlings brands across various markets.
“Scott Sorensen’s appointment as our new head of marketing marks an exciting chapter for Gatorz Eyewear,” said company President Eric Baker. “With his extensive experience and proven track record in the industry, we are confident that Scott will bring fresh perspectives and innovative strategies to elevate our brand to new heights. We are thrilled to welcome him to the Gatorz family and look forward to the remarkable achievements that lie ahead under his leadership.”
“I’m thrilled to embark on this new chapter with Gatorz Eyewear and become a part of their incredibly innovative team,” said Sorensen. “Gatorz offers an outstanding, USA-made performance product that epitomizes American ingenuity and craftsmanship, making it a staple for many hardworking individuals. I’m very proud to be associated with a company that aligns so closely with my personal interests and values. My role will center on enhancing and furthering the already successful GATORZ brand, with a dedicated focus on expanding its reach and elevating it to new heights alongside this exceptional team. I’m genuinely enthusiastic about this fresh challenge and the journey ahead.”
