Nike extended its Refurbished program to its website, offering discounts on refurbished sneakers.
Nike introduced the refurbished program at select Nike and Nike Factory Outlet stores in April 2021 to support the company’s broader Move to Zero climate change initiative.
“Nike’s goal is a circular, zero-carbon zero waste future. While Nike Refurbished footwear is available at select Nike stores, we are also testing offering Nike Refurbished products online to extend the life of authentic Nike products at a value price,” said the company.
The Nike footwear that is accepted into the program includes returns, exchanges and Nike shoes with minor imperfections. Once Nike determines the shoes are eligible, they are cleaned “by hand” and given one of three condition grades—Like New, Gently Worn or Slightly Imperfect.
