Brad Blankinship, Quiksilver’s general manager since November 2021, confirmed on LinkedIn reports that he had resigned from the company.
Blankinship’s resignation comes as Authentic signed a definitive agreement to acquire Boardriders, the parent of Quiksilver, in April 2023. Boardriders also owns Billabong, Roxy, DC Shoes, RVCA, Element, and VonZipper.
Blankinship said on his LinkedIn account, “I was fortunate to work with some amazing people at Quiksilver, and I am proud of everything we accomplished. I’ve decided it’s time to start the next chapter. I have some big ideas I can’t share just yet, but I am excited for the future.”
Before his GM position at Quiksilver, Blankinship was global general manager at RVCA from 2019 to 2021. Before joining Boardriders, he was SVP of marketing and product development at Igloo Products Corp. He also held roles at BRG Sports and Paul Frank.
