Daniel Defense added three executives to its leadership team, reporting to CEO Rod Reasen.
Daniel Richmond comes on board as chief revenue officer leading sales, marketing and digital commerce teams. Richmond worked for W.W. Grainger as Midwest regional vice president for the past ten years. Before that, he spent seven years in sales at United Parcel Service (UPS).
Jake Cason was appointed CFO, leading the company’s accounting/finance and IT organizations. Cason joins Daniel Defense with over fifteen years of finance, operations and corporate development experience across the biotech, drug delivery, diagnostics, manufacturing, consumer products, and wealth management industries. He spent the past five years with Sorrento Therapeutics, where, most recently, as was head of finance and operations.
Cason assumes the CFO role from Roger Mustian, who is retiring. Before officially leaving the company, he will remain the chief compliance officer to onboard his replacement.
“Roger has been an integral part of DD’s Leadership Team since joining the company from Remington in 2011. During his tenure, he has been instrumental in building the necessary infrastructure for the Finance and IT disciplines, has led the successful implementation of our ERP system, built relationships and structure with our banking partners, and served as the “go-to” person for all things legal/compliance related. It’s very fair to say that our company could not have grown to such heights without Roger Mustian,” said Daniel Defense, Founder and Chairman of the Board, Marty Daniel.
Dave Everett joins the company as VP of product and engineering. He brings over thirty years of engineering, product development and leadership experience to the company. Most recently, he worked as the divisional VP of research, development and engineering with Spectrum Brands.
“I’m truly inspired by the hiring of these three executives,” said Daniel. “We remain a passionate, privately held family business. Rod’s done a great job bringing in the kind of folks that have both the expertise and cultural fit we need. I know they will help us accelerate our impact on the industry, broaden our brand’s appeal and make us an even better place to work.”
