Fanatics reported it launched its first online marketplace in Japan, opening a store on Rakuten Ichiba, operated by global internet services leader Rakuten Group, to improve access to licensed sports merchandise for customers in Japan.

Customers who shop at Fanatics’ official store on Rakuten Ichiba can order directly from its U.S. fulfillment centers with reduced lead times. Fanatics also said it plans to expand its available range in the country to over 50,000 products over time.

This deal is the latest in similar partnerships for Fanatics with worldwide retailers, powering licensed sports merchandise online for Next, marking Fanatics’ first connected inventory partnership in Europe, Foot Locker, Walmart, Kohls, and Nordstrom.
