Boathouse Sports, a Philadelphia-based manufacturer of custom team athletic apparel, will partner with professional lacrosse players John Christmas (Boston Cannons) and Eric Gregg (Philadelphia Barrage) on its LEAPS (Lacrosse, Education, Attitude, Perseverance and Success) initiative to give under-served youth in the greater Philadelphia area the opportunity to learn and play lacrosse.

Boathouse Sports' one year commitment includes custom designed LEAPS uniforms and casual apparel (t-shirts and sweatshirts) that will be sold online and at tournaments to fund the growth of the program.

“Boathouse’s commitment to help us grow our program is tremendous,” said co-founder John Christmas.  “We’re excited to be able to provide our teams with Boathouse apparel and are very fortunate to have them assist us in generating the capital we need to continue to grow our program.  The benefit to Philadelphia and our players is hard to put into words.”

LEAPS is a Philadelphia-based non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of under served youth throughout the greater Philadelphia area through their participation in the sport of lacrosse.  Currently, LEAPS has been impacting the lives of Philadelphia youth with free weekly lacrosse clinics and nutritional instruction.  In the Summer of ’09, LEAPS will also offer lacrosse camps at brand new turf fields throughout the Philadelphia area through its relationship with the School District of Philadelphia.
