makes products for lacrosse, soccer, field hockey and volleyball, has entered
into a partnership with the HEADstrong Foundation in an effort to support blood
cancer research and awareness. Brine has developed a full line of custom
products, of which a portion of all net sales will be donated to the HEADstrong
Foundation.
“The
HEADstrong Foundation gratefully acknowledges Brine's creativity and efforts
with the introduction of the Relentless 27 product line to promote and enhance
Nicholas' vision to raise cancer awareness and funds toward research, and to
help those who are affected with the disease,” said Cheryl Colleluori,
Nick's mother and President of the foundation. “With the launch of this
line we are one step closer to winning the battle against Lymphoma. Our goal is to build a team of champions on
and off the field to combat the disease that took Nick from us. This is the
reason we wear green. We thank the lacrosse community for their continuous
support in this fight.”
“As
someone whose family has dealt with the effects of blood cancer, I know how
vicious the disease can be,” said Neal Goldman, Brine product manager. “After
meeting Cheryl and the whole Colleluori family this past winter, I knew
immediately Brine could be a great asset to helping raise funds and awareness
for the cause,” said Goldman.
The
custom line of HEADstrong products includes: HEADstrong Clutch, HEADstrong
Edge, HEADstrong SwizzBeat, HEADstrong Swizzle Scandium, and HEADstrong King II
glove. The line is available at retailers now.
“Im
really honored to be working with The HEADstrong Foundation. Our relationship
goes beyond the realm of the typical partnership,” said Goldman. “We
hope to spread Nicks message of perseverance, commitment and determination by
calling on more lacrosse players to expand their community outreach and help
fight this deadly disease.”
The HEADstrong Foundation generates funds for cancer
research, distributes grants and assistance to survivors of blood cancer,
provides financial assistance to families that are experiencing the hardships
of having a sick family member, and provides scholarships and grants for
students with ambitions of entering the medical field.
