Carhartt reported it intends to open a 1.2 million square foot distribution center in Forth Worth, TX located west of the Texas Motor Speedway at 16101 Wolff Crossing. The planned opening is in 2024 and will support 500 jobs.

Fort Worth will enter into a seven-year tax abatement of up to 75 percent of Carhartt’s business personal property taxes, to cap at $2 million. The project’s public-private investment ratio of 28.9 to 1 is forecasted to generate $3,190,738 in net new taxes over the next decade.

“Fort Worth is excited to welcome Carhartt to our city,” said Robert Sturns, economic development director. “They’re a very well-known, well-respected brand, and their presence here will be an asset to our city’s growing collection of workwear companies.”

Carhartt is based in Dearborn, MI, and has 5,500 employees.
