WWD reported that Kizik hired Gretchen Weimer, formerly global VP of product at Hoka, as chief merchandising officer.
Weimer has been at Hoka since December 2015. Previously, she was the strategic business unit manager at New Balance and held product roles while working at Fila and Nike.
Weimer’s hire comes as the Lindon, UT-based company and its parent, HandsFree Labs, Inc., in 2022, completed a $20 million Series B funding round and added Wendy Yang, the former group president of Hoka and Teva, as a board member. Nike invested in HandsFree Labs in 2019.
